Cache River Brown Basmati Rice

Basmati, a magic name for elegant rice which contains no spices or flavoring. This delightful, aromatic rice warms the home with its savory scent of hot buttered popcorn. Brown rice is just regular rice without further milling past the hull. Brown rice contains the bran, germ & endosperm of the rice kernel! It packs more nutrients into a small grain & has a more nutty flavor than its further milled counter part. 

Our gourmet, "popcorn rice"  was developed by rice breeders at Louisiana State University Rice Experiment Station in Crawley, Louisiana. It was developed from a type of Basmati rice that can be found in the Punjab province of India.
